At nighttime in Mistico Park visitors have the opportunity to experience the wonderful tropical rainforest. This tour takes place in our trails and includes crossing several hanging bridges.
A variety of animals may be spotted, such as: frogs, snakes, lizards, and mammals including: kinkajous, coatis, margays, nocturnal animals such as owls, as well as a wide variety of nocturnal insects inhabiting the reserve.
Costa Rica is home to uncommon species of fauna such as the red-eyed leaf frog with vertical pupils. Enjoy a completely new experience: Explore the secondary and old-growth forests at night on the hanging bridges.
Wear a raincoat, long pants, and closed walking shoes and bring with you a camera and insect repellent.
Our night tour was extremely eventful! It rained heavily, but that didn’t stop us or our amazing guide, Victor. He showed us so many animals, insects, reptiles & plants..it was incredible how he just spotted everything and made sure we had a wonderful adventure. Thank you!!
